Can we humanize design even more? Yes, we can!
We, at Designer and Gentleman do not consider the user experience only as a digital product thing. The "user experience" approach can be applied to any product design, even the physical.
California UX/UI Branding Company
User experience (UX) is not limited to digital products, but also applies to any product or service that people interact with. UX is about how users perceive, interact with, and feel about a product or service and how well it meets their needs and expectations.
For physical products, UX is often referred to as industrial design or product design. It involves designing products that are easy to use (ergonomics design), visually appealing, and fit well with the user's needs, preferences, desires, and expectations. For example, the design of a car's dashboard or a smartphone's physical buttons and layout can significantly impact the user's experience. UX also applies to services such as restaurants, hotels, and transportation. In these cases, UX is about designing experiences that are convenient, enjoyable, and memorable for users.
In summary, UX is relevant to any product or service that people use, including both digital and physical products. It is about understanding and designing for the needs and preferences of users to create positive and/or unique experiences.
In this case, we launched the new package design along with the e-commerce beauty website, including a more comprehensive design approach, followed by EBC (Enhanced Brand Content- similar to what we do on Amazon when boosting product to increase more sales).
Branding for StartUp Skin Care Company
Therefore, we applied the tactile design to our 2Twenty2 product portfolio design. This beauty product line takes care of the skin during the day and night.
Tactile design is a design approach that emphasizes the sense of touch, creating a tactile experience that engages and delights the user.
With this project, we aim to create packaging that not only looks great but also feels great to touch. We understand that beauty products are often purchased for their packaging and that the tactile experience can be just as important as the visual experience. That's why we have put a lot of effort into creating packaging that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also engaging to touch.
Award Winning Packaging Design for a Beauty Company
Our Tactile Design packaging for 2Twenty2, our SoCal-based client, features a range of textures and finishes, from soft-touch coatings to raised embossing and debossing. By incorporating these elements into our packaging, we aim to create an experience that engages multiple senses and makes the product stand out on the shelf.
In addition to creating a great user experience, Tactile Design packaging also has practical benefits. For example, the soft-touch coating on our packaging provides a non-slip grip, making it easier for the user to handle and use the product. This is particularly important for products like lotions and serums, which are often used in a bathroom or other wet or even more complex environment, which I am going to talk some more int the text in a few.
Tactile design approach is part of Full Sense Branding which we cherish as a Los Angeles branding agency.
The full-sense branding approach is a marketing strategy that aims to create a comprehensive brand experience for customers by engaging all five senses - sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. The purpose of this approach is to create a more memorable, immersive, and emotionally resonant brand experience that helps build stronger connections with customers.
Branding for a Skin Care
The portfolio is made up of 5 products. Each product is made for a different phase of the day.
Early morning (Sunrise), Cleanser (Glow Dust), Noon: (Radiant Glow), Dusk (Sunset), Night (Celestial Glow)...
Each product package design has two main differentiators: A. Color and B. the little bump illustration represents a different part of the day.
Since the 2Twenty2 brand resonates with young, dynamic, and adventurous people, we learn that our target group is more likely to carry more items in their bags/purses. Then, we created a test by placing our product boxes into the bags.
With the tactile approach, we wanted to help our consumers find the products they need more easily. And they did! Not just could they find them more quickly, but they could also tell the difference between the products.
Full-Sense Branding
The full-sense branding approach is designed to create a more engaging and immersive brand experience that resonates with customers on a deeper level, ultimately leading to stronger brand loyalty, increased customer satisfaction, and higher sales.
